Background

DASCO (DASCO Australia) is an Australian privately-owned developer-builder. Managing Director (CEO) Michel Najjar brings around 30 years of property development and construction track record, with a philosophy of building and holding — taking responsibility for projects from start to finish. DASCO combines design control, development and construction in-house, delivering design-driven residential and mixed-use communities across Sydney's inner city and upper north shore. Its flagship project, Danks St District (Waterloo), is a rare large-scale urban renewal precinct — roughly 1.7 hectares, six buildings, 373 residences plus retail, with 50% of the site planned as green space, designed by four practices: Bates Smart, MHNDU, Fieldwork and Richards & Spence. DASCO has secured 10-Year Latent Defects Insurance (underwritten by Resilience Insurance) for its projects, covering major structural or waterproofing defects for a decade after handover — cover that only developers can obtain, an important assurance for buyers.
